65 Barracuda Strip to Street/Strip build

-
Not greatest pics. Bad lighting, tight fit, lol ...

Parts and kits rolling in now. Trans tunnel work this week.

Another "addition" to build is Magnumforce tubular K-member (double adj) coil over and rack-and-pinion kit. And maybe GearVendor. No joke when they say take your estimated budget and double it. Lol

We'll get some pics the end of next week when we return home.

Thanks! What are the plans for the '63?

well its an old racer , went record in its class back in 73 ihra event , all metal w radical 383 auto combo . 8k w polished stock rods n crank , like chrome that engine was inside . steve renolds owner/builder was cecil yothers trans guy . campaigned with yother's melrose cars and more . i sat it up more street than strip . new engine based on a 400 b block stretched to 471 . wax wedge style intake and aloy heads . should be a fun ride . this is it in street trim as i drive it around town .

Tunnel done and trans mount. Blacked out front valence. Street tires in now. Couldn't find Centerline but AR's are close. And started with fuel system.

Thanks guys!

Especially with going to Magnumforce k-member it frees up lots of alternatives for exhaust. Watching Brad's thread, with his construct (and pics from someone else ... sorry forget name but its on page 3) .. we could go down with some and through fenderwell with some others .... we also thought about putting the collector up high just before all bend down into fenderwell ... thing with new k-member is we need to reinforce shock tower .. so lose space here and gain it there .. lol

Biggest concern is steering. Car initially had full fender well headers and 24 inch front tires. We'd like to go to 26 on front.

How is steering on yours and what size tires? Thanks

In end I guess it wil be mock up and see ... lol

small wheel house , you'd be pushing the suspension forward maybe , no tbars to connect . just some rework of the steering , but that going to happen with mags kit . get the motor set back that the dragger were chasing , they pushed it forward . two inches would make a dart wheel base 110'' .

who's rocker assemblies are you going with ? t&d set ups nice package , but b3re has another type he uses as well .

Harland ... actually going tomorrow to check exactly which ones they have ordered and when coming in. ;)

there very nice , some say the best . will be interesting to see the alignment between rocker roller and valve stem , though your cam lift .

New driver seat is in. Placement is just about perfect - the other racing seat was too far forward and too straight up for me. The old one is in passenger side now.

A race car with a passenger seat? :poke: I am in need of rewiring my race car as well and noticed the pic of the relay panel under the dash on the tunnel that you did. Would you mind posting or PMing a larger image of just that panel? I am trying to come up with a plan for mine. Nice work on your ride! Thanks. L8r
