65 cuda- engine drop

hopefully getting close to dropping in the 273 in the 65 cuda. last SB I installed was 73 duster 12 years ago! I know the engine bay is narrow, is it best to bolt on the exh man before I drop it in or is there good room to do so after i get it in??? these are correct 65 manifolds.

years ago we dropped it in with them on it .

If foggy memory serves me right, you will have to remove the steering column if you drop the engine in with the exhaust manifolds on. That drivers side manifold is a real pain in the a$$.

I was thinking the right side manifold might be tough to get at. I knew the column could be maybe in way for the left one. it is a m s. thanks for the info.
my sytem is a chain hoist hooked to rafter in the shed!!! helps if SHE does some puhsing and pulling as it goes in! LOL
