And now the bad news of whats wrong with it. The rear quarter panel has damage from the rear tire coming off and hit it. I most of the panel down but still working. Might take to the body shop for it .

Oh yeah I am new to this forum and this my first old car. The one thing I have been looking for is the driver side a-pillar plastic cover. On mine it broke in 3 pieces and i need to find one or both sides. Any one now where I can get them?

Welcome to the Mopar family! good progress already the engine bay looks great, im sure there is someone on here that can help you out with that quarter issue :D

Thats a nice and really clean ride you got there. I can see its a a/c car. Let me know if the vacuum clock is for sale? LOL Sorry about the quarter panel! Good luck with the project.

Looking good but then again I'm partial to 65 Darts. That factory A/C is a pretty rare option.

I have not found that many 4-door on the web. Are they that rare? I am waiting on the weather to warm up here. So far the car is 98% rust free. The owner had it New Mexico and the under body has been coated with under coat. The damage was allot worst, I have to pull the two panels apart and fix the damage. The few things I am looking for is
some trim and the a-pliers trim. Any on got any for sale?

What trim are you looking for? I might have the A pillar trim; I'd have to check my storage area.

The plastic trim that goes on the driver side a-pilar and the trunk lid trim. The trunk trim is ok I might see if can send it off to get fix. The a-plair is broken into 3 pieces.

I'll check on that A pillar trim tomorrow. Trunk trim - the 2 long stainless pieces that came on the 270/GT or?

Well I had the front end all together until I notice that the lower control arm was sitting a little far out from the K-frame. angry9: So today I pulled it all apart and shave off a little of the strut bushing. Here is a link I found on how to do it. http://users.erols.com/mathewg/bushings.html I have been working on the A/C parts cleaning and painting it. i will post some pics of the front end and the A/C.

Well today I have been painting parts and the engine. Took the engine apart and found alot wrong with it. The guy who had built it only did the bottom end, he replace the bearings on the crank, rods and cam. Well he did not tear down the whole engine or he would have found that pistons were covered in carbon and the 9 out of 16 valves rubber boots were bad. The rear main seal was in stalled wrong and might have leak. I dont know why some would go threw the trouble of rebuilding the engine and not take the heads off to look over them. He must of used a tube of RTV to seal the bottom. I am trying to find out the intake I have will work? Does any one know what the U shape ports that on the heads are for? I tried the intake but it does not cover the U shape. What year was it made?

Here is a few pics of the front so far and the engine , intake.

Last week I work on restoring the A/C and heater box. I found a kit that had all the pieces to rebuild them. The kit was complete but I think they cut a few pieces to short. Came out looking good. When I open A/C box I found alot leaves and stuff in it. Clean it all out and rebuild it. Don't mind the white tape on the heater box, I have to wait till I installed it in the car.

You've done a great work on that a/c unit. That's for sure. As 65 dartman said. It's a rare option on a Dart 270 w/273.
