Hello everyone,
Hlw is thhe best // easiest way to remove the Candy Cane trim from around the headlights on 65 Dart.
Thanks in advance, Steve

Remove the front splash shields then use a long extension to remove the nuts from the clips around the headlight and along the bottom of the lower grille support

FWIW the clips are specially made and to my knowledge not available. I think there are some workarounds but how well they work, IDK

Thanks 65 Dartman,
A member on here has a set on a vehicle, I'm trying to help him remove them so i can purchase them. I doint have a set for my project.

if you have a 1/4" wobble head ratchet and a really long extension you can get in there to remove the backing nuts without pulling anything. it's a little bit of contortion though.

highly recommend spraying some penetrating fluid on there before hand if you can, because as dartman noted the clips are pretty much unobtainium.

My thoughts about the spray also. I'm going to pass on the recommendations to him. I hope its not to much for him. Thanks again everyone.

It was a pain in the ***. I was taking the fenders off anyway and went ahead and tore everything apart
