I have a question I put the top down on my convert and it would not go back up till I helped it half way up any ideas. The motor works and there are no leaks I can see

Check and make sure the reservoir has enough fluid.

Do I have to take the back seat out to do this?

IIRC removing the seat is the easiest way to get at the reservoir/motor. I've never tried it from the trunk side.

I dont have a automatic top in my Dart, but when my plymouth would get this problem, I'd Lube up all the top frame hinges and it would start working fine again. The Technical service manual has all the lube points marked.

Well thanks to all who gave me advise for my top. I filled it and found that the right cylinder is leaking and has for some time so it's time for new carpet and a new right side cylinder. Got to love old cars!!!!

Make sure you change the lines also if they're original. Don't want to be tearing everything apart again in the near future.
