65 Dart Rear End Gears ?

65 Dart Gt w/273/235 and 904 trans. It has 14" wheels and planning on rebuilding engine and trans. With the 14" wheels I'm thinking of going to 3.90 rear end. What think those knowing far more than I ? And where is a good place to find/order quality gears ? THX

I have 3.91,s in my 66 Dart with 15 inch tire(drops it lower a bit with taller tires)You can get gears through these places..

I run 3.91's with a 28" tire on my 66 I use Randy's for parts.

I have 14" on my 65 valiant but tire diameter is only 24". I chose to put in 2.94's rather than 3.55's to keep the RPMs down on the highway. It's all about how you plan on driving the car. 3.91's will be nasty on the highway!

THX t all, I may go with 3.55, I don't plan on much if any highway usage just street.
