Welcome! Post some pics when you can. Not that many 4-speed early-a's, you lucked out!

4 speed with a bench ??? in 65 >?? ive never seen that is it a slant 6 or 273? welcome to the site

I don't know how to put pictures on this site but would be more than happy to if someone tells me how,,
I used to drive a 64 belvedere bench seat 4 speed in the 70's and when I drive the little dart it brings back some great memories but the dart is a 6 cylinder plain jane car I think it is a rare one ... and the color appears to be the same as the belvedere was..

yes i would agreee slant 6 with a 4 speed is rare enough,,,but a bench seat in a dart with a 4 speeed is a rare bird,very kool..

if u have the pics already loaded in your computer its simple to post on this site..just scroll down to manage attchments, click on it,, click the browse button and it will take you to your picture file,,click the pic you want to post then click browse again for another pic and so on and son on,,,when you have all the pics you want click the load button,,when they are loaded, then click sumit reply

Thanks with the help with the pictures ... maybe I will take the car to spring fling this year it is just up the street... a few miles

Not sure maybe it had one of the stubby consoles like the barracuda"s had the carpet was out when I got the car so I don't know the only other thing I see in the trunk is the stainless / chrome steel foot guard that goes by the gas pedal on the hump...
I can only go buy the fender tag says that it was built as a 4 speed car .. and there are no holes in the floor for bucket seats ....

the barracuda stubby consoles were only on auto cars,,the floor shift stick cudas and dart chargers had a chromed bezel with the shift pattern ingraved in it,,, the weird metal looks like some thing some one added,,,???? i guess the slant 6 4 speed cars didnt get the nice shinny bezel,,,would of been hard to see wit hthe bench seat,,but its a cool rare car,,, ide get a header and 4 barrell intake,,,

the owner. looked kinda sad when I drove off with it.. I am amazed at how original the car is, it still has the factory muffler and spare tire. the car shows. 80'000 miles on the speedo.. best $800 bucks I ever spent..PS check out the cool locking gas cap.. Thanks everyone .. mopar people are great....

Production figures for your car;
Engine 225 = 13845 cars
Seat belts front and rear = 25 cars
Stone shields = 1273 cars
4 speed w/225 engine = 67 cars

Mix it up and you'll see that they did not produce so many with these option.

OK, but here is some info on your Dart 270 2 dr ht;

Engine 225 = 6687 cars
Engine 225/4 speed = 62 cars

So 62 hard tops were made.

How many /6 Hurst 4 spd's with a convertible were made ?

I have only seen 1 other.

Congrats Eddie. Looks like a nice car and a odd one to boot. I had a 65 Dart back in the early 70's that was a 2 door post also. Mine was a strange one too. It had a HP273 with a column shifted 3 speed. Have fun with it and keep us posted on your progress. Oh, Welcome to FABO. Enjoy your time here. There are hundreds of early Darts here. Here's a shot of my present hot rod. toolmanmike

According to Galen Govier, there is no breakdown to separate hardtops and converts If you have a GT. Were all converts GT's?
