Yes you are correct! I've been starting at enough pictures that I'm fairly sure I am able to spot the difference between a & b... I hopeBe Careful, A-Body and B-Body are different. The A-Body is shorter, I think.
I am only for ease of install. If I can gather all original parts for the swap, hopefully, will go quickly and smoothly. BUT I guess if a later model Trans is offered to me at the right price I would definitely consider.Why limit yourself to only the ‘64 & ‘65 models with the ball and trunion output shaft. You could use the ‘66 - ‘75 splined output shaft transmissions by replacing the driveshaft or having a new driveshaft made.
People will argue till the end of time, but the ball and trunnion style is arguably stronger. Every Max Wedge car ever made and every 64 Race Hemi ever made had one.
