66 cuda window glass question

has anyone ever pulled off the crome strip on the driver/passenger door window? there is a u-shaped rubber that goes around the glass.has anyone ever bought this item anywhere? or knows what can be used there.thanks for any info!

Your local glass shop can probably fix you up with a strip of glass mounting tape. Take a sample so they can provide the proper thickness. You can buy it in rolls from NAPA too but that would probably leave many feet you will never use.

He also has some fairly obscure early-A stuff so it's worth it to get his catalog which is not online to my knowledge.

He's pretty much mail order only. What you want is 1/32" glass setting tape # ES15132 ($0.25 per foot).

I did all my 65 Valiant glass with this stuff & it worked perfectly.
