'66 Dart Heater Core

I need to replace my heater core on my Dart. It's been working fine until today, coldest day of the year so far. I can get a heater core out of a '68 by tomorrow from Pep Boys but their computers don't show that it will work, same dimensions, but no good. Anyone here have any idea if the '68 heater cores would work in a '66?
