66 dart seats

Hey guys hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to get some ideas based on the vast experience here.

I'm looking to get some front buckets for my 66 dart gt. The seats in it are not original and I hate them.

Has anyone here had any experience in modern seat swaps, like what works what does not?

Any known good donor cars like mustang etc?

Any info is welcome.

A few have gone with the Chrysler Sebring seats with upgraded shoulder strap seatbelts.

+1 For sebring seats. They have built in 3 point harnesses which works very well with old car that did not have an upper strap anchor. Try to find the later 04-06 era two tone leather/suede seats. They look good and have decent support, but might be tight on a larger framed driver. Generally they run $400 for both fronts on ebay.

The seats must be from a convertible. The 4dr seats do not have belts and do not fold.

I just used a set of motorhome seats I got from a friend for free and adapted the stock brackets to fit . They look super stockish .
