Okay, so I've got both harnesses back in and got the new ignition/volt reg system in place. I went ahead and wired in the later style regulator.
I put a new alternator that would be for a 73 Dart Sport 340...65 amp on it. Regulator is for the same car.
I also put an MSD Blaster 2 Coil and ballast resistor as well.
Couple of questions.
1. Does it matter which wires ( blue and green) go to which field on the alternator??
2. Does it matter where the wires are plugged in on the ballast resistor?
I ask the first because at low RPM the headlights dim a little...they're still bright but there is a noticable change when you rev it up.
The car runs and actually seems to have a little more power now.
