66 Valiant Windshield Leaking!!

[64 SRT8 Dart]

I've noticed that the locking strip for my windshield has shrunk rediculously! Right at the top corners both sides. Yesterday we got a good rain and I noticed that water was running right under the interior pillar trim and dripping onto the new carpet!

Anyone know the best maker/seller of quality windshield gaskets/locks? Something that won't shrink.

I have seen some of the stuff advertised on ebay but I dont know if it is good or not.

The lockstrip shouldn't cause a leak. Leaks are usually between the glass and the gasket or between the gasket and the body. Get some butyl caulk and run a bead in those areas. Another spot for leaks is the wiper pivot seals or a rusted cowl area.

I have used "flowable silicone" on several cars and usually worked. At hardware stores.
