...the catch being stock wheel tubs. Or is it even doable at all? My springs are moved in to the frame.

They'll fit with the springs out of the way. Just make sure you get the backspacing of the wheels dead on.

x2

I think 15x8 5"bs is perfect with the 3" inboard or offset shackles

wheel selection is limited

crown vic wheels (ground the center down to fit over axle)

10.4 section width will fit with the offset kit. It's tight. But it fits.

What's the section with on the ones you are looking at?

If you put them on a 7" rim it's easier. An 8 or 8.5 rim makes section width wider.

Check Zhandfull's car out. Springs in frame. It's tight. Trimming the fender lip will help.

THAT'S the car I was looked for! HIGH FIVE, cracked! That is the look I'm after, maybe just without the skinny fronts.

I have 255/60 DR's on my 69 now, with the OE wheel houses and springs into the frame and have LOTS room for the 275 "I think". 15 x 7 wheel now, but it's also no biggie to get an 8" in the required BS.

Thanks all and keep the pics coming!

I have 275's on an 8.5 C/L wheel 4.875 BS on my 70. Pretty similar wheelhouse, etc. I only moved the spring over with offset boxes. The rear is shortened a little as well. Using frame relo boxes you'll have a bit more room than I have. I had to trim the fender lip.

After triming the fender lip and a small 3/16 wheel spacer on one side I have all but eliminated any rubbing in normal streel driving. Tight fit but is possible and my car sits pretty low. The top of rim is about at fender lip . Ive had it lower than pictures but just wasnt happy overall with the stance. Next set of drag radials still thinking about 255 thought. Hoping they actually might perform better on the 7 wide wheel as far as launching car at the strip.
