67 Barracuda engine

Hi Guys,
I am a new bee for Long Island

I am in process of restoring a 67 convertible barracuda, can I get a 440 in it?

Welcome...........the 383 was an option in '67 so a 440 should fit
about the same

factory power steering has to be modified to use with 440

if I were to build my Dart now instead of it already being done I would put a tube K member with coil overs and rack and pinion steering to give more clearance and reduce weight.

I had everything to install a 440 in my 67 Dart Convertible but went with small block for PS so it would be easier for the wife to drive it.

Can I get a 727 trany in it?

Oh yeah it will fit. You just got to do plenty of research and find the parts etc.. If you don't already have disc brakes put that on your least as well as beefer torsion bars. And of course make sure your rear axle is up to that kind of horse power. 489 case 8 3/4 would be ok. Frame connectors wouldn't be a bad idea either. Good luck.
