67 cuda hood

Im at a mopar event and a guy here has a cheeeeery hood for a cuda. Anyone need it? I'll get it if someone is in need. Need to know ASAP I'm in Cali. It's for a 67
 
I'll post pics tonight. It's got the inserts and everything. He wants 500 bucks o.b.o. It's straight as an arrow with 0 rust. The car that it was on is perfect. He went to fiberglass lift off for drag racing. Sick cuda.

I would just buy the NOS one that has been on eBay for a long time for $556.99 first.

He's on crack.

I think the only glass hood around $500 was an AAR hood. They are out of business.

Because of the nosecone on those cars take the brunt of the mishaps, the hoods are rarely damaged.

I'd pay more for a mint nosecone than a hood. I'd pay more for a mint front valance than a hood.

Oh No, I thought this was just like an eBay or Craigslist ad when it doesn't belong to the poster and that is it is open for discusssion. Has that rule changed too? If so feel free to delete my posts.

I'm thinking on any sale item no matter if the poster owns it or not. Another words it's suppose to be questions only obtaining more info .... only!

That's the way I take it even though posts like this I do want to speak my mind but the rules don't allow that so I move along.

I didn't even notice it was in the For Sale section.

But it's really not the poster's part for sale. He was just asking if anyone was interested. No price or contact info on first post. I think from his phone while he was actaully at a swap meet.

I don't see anything wrong with the post. He is just trying to be helpful. But I don't see it as a true for sale ad.

LoL Its like only gold members are supost to be able to bump there ads but yet i keep seeing a few members that are not bumping there ads .. One more then most if there going to make the rules keep them .. thats all i got to say bout that .. But i think this is in the wrong spot too
 
I posted it to see if someone was in need of a STEEL OE CUDA HOOD. Seems lately like anytime someone tries to post an ad to try to help someone out and pass the word, someone always has to have some brainless arrogant comment to make. WTF. Thought the whole premise behind this forum to to provide help for those in need of parts or technical info. I don't have a cuda so I could really care less just figured I'd pass the word thats all. If I posted this in the wrong section then my bad.

Not your fault-you did what you felt would help someone.Some members feel that they must dictate-price/trades.These rules have been put on here to keep arguments to a minimum,however that hasn't kept some from trying to force their opinions or ideas on others. Yep; you have been treated unjustly but just grow some thicker skin and realize that if you help just a few,it's worth it.Sorry you were treated this way but it is-what it is.Better luck on the next one.

But in the same idea of trying to help someone, some of us are trying to explain that $500 is way over the normal market price for that hood. So someone that might need a hood does not grossly overpay when they do not know the going market rate for a used hood is. It would be a shame for someone to unnecessarily pay $350-$400 additional for a part when that money could be used for others parts or services to get or keep another Mopar on the road.

Nothing derogatory against gtmopar at all. He is being a messenger trying to help. Even though the price on that hood is too high, he still helped. Because people will understand that is too high for that hood.

I see new Mopar people get into this hobby and overpay for services and parts and they are soon drained from the experience, sell thier cars, and we lose them from the hobby. I've seen it for the last 25 years, over and over!

Finding good quality, fair, and value services and parts are a key part of this hobby.

But then you have the guys that pay what there woth and then think there gold and mark them up to 4 gs .. Its just part of the game we play .. You just have to play this game smart . Them guys with sell alittle here and there .. But will sit on there crap for years . Telling them selfs its just a down time lol New flash its not just that its not woth 4 gs 5 gs what ever there asking .. Yes im a young gun in this game i thought my stuff was gold but its not . I learned that fast .. The guys that are doing this kind of stuff know its not woth what they are asking there just wating on a new guy to come along that dont know any better so they can make a buck and shove that 4 g pos up there butt and smile bout how they got what they wanted for it :angryfir: Rant over

I thought? this is news to me !Who was i argueing with im lost .. but thats not a bad price almost goos engough that i could cut it up like i want to for my 65 lol Yes i would do that .. But i think i know some one that needs it whole for there car i would need a junk hood to try what im thinking
