67 Dart Gt 383 Fender Tag Decoding Help

-
you know about the GTS registry?

http://www.gtsregistry.net/www.gtsregistry.com/index.html

Repost a photo of your fender tag. Many times a code that does not come up on the web sites can be decoded by matching another fender tag from members like me with one family cars (ie 100% known history)

Also you can get an IBM card for your car from Stellantis historical. I can help you decode it.

Chrysler Historical new contact info.

Lastly post some photos!
Not a real GTS.

No one said it was a GTS (was that even an option in 67?)

Alan
Yes...mid-year '67 the GTS was introduced...that's the basis of Mr Norm's "story" about putting a 383 in an A body (which had already been done earlier by Chrysler in the Barracuda)

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned the GTS Registry, which this wouldn't qualify for as it's probably a GT with a 383 installed by a previous owner.

"LP" is Dart GT, whereas "LS" is GTS.

The fender tag is for a 67 Dart GT with a 383

Could you get a 383 in a Dart GT that is not a GTS?

Alan
Don't think so, but as you know, with Chrysler, "Never say never"!

If the OP would post the 1st 5 digits of the VIN from the plate on the A pillar, we could tell the original engine.
