This is my 69 Swinger WITH shoulder belts and mounting.
You can see the large threaded hole the shoulder harness bolts into just in Front of the coat hook.

My 67 2 door post did not have them. My 73 has the optional shoulder belt that you can use. I can't stand how high the shoulder belts mount, goes across your neck area, and I'm tall.
I run the 67 at the track and wanted something in addition to a lap belt so I added my own mount in the post. It's not factory pretty but it will keep my face from hitting the steering wheel.

I'm using the stock mounting holes for a dodge ram retractable set of seat belts I think I'm going to only have to make 1 mounting hole and a bracket for the release on the floor but that should be it, easy-peasy-lemon-squeezey ha

I have had several Barracudas
69 Cuda340-with hi mounted,visor anchored
69 6cy.........lap belt only, dont know provision

Late '67, my mother ordered a new Dart sedan .As it was made after January 1st, 1968, shoulder belts were on the car, for a slight extra charge. I wish my convertible had them.

A ragtop story:

In the early 70's stationed at NAS Miramar San Diego, I had a part time job at the base auto hobby shop. There was a pilot who was ?? taking care of his young nephew for the summer. The pilot owned about a 62 'Vette ragtop. I had not seen either for weeks, one day the much cut up nephew walked into the hobby shop. I asked "WHAT happened to YOU?"

He and his girlfriend were speeding down I-15 S of the base, flipped that ***** upside down in the median strip. If I recall I don't think either were wearing seat belts. SOMEHOW both of them lived through the upside down slide inside that ragtop roadster!!!
