67 dart 2 door post, mild 318, 904, 8.25 rear end with 410 gears. Went from 13 inch stock wheels in a field to a street warrior. This form has done wonders especially on what tires actually can fit on an a body. 265 50 14s! Stock tubs and stock spring location. Body work next spring

Nice! I imagine that with 24-1/2 inch tire height and 4.10s that it gets moving from a start with authority. That's a great looking car, BTW. Did it come with the three speed wiper motor, too?

265's wow! how close are you to touching, well, everything?
So the 8.25 is about 1/2 inch narrower on both sides than a 8.75 with big bolt axels. So with a 4 inch bs it's about a 1/4 inch between the tire to leaf and about the same from the tire to the wheel well. It does clear comfortably

Yeah it's quick out of the hole, it's a pretty mild 318 around a stock 340 spec my butt Says it's in the lowww 14s. I bought it that way wiper wise.

What wheel and how much back space. That honestly is the key. I ran a 14x7 which is almost too small for the 265. And 8 I don't think would have worked. I tired a wheel with 4.5 back space and it hit the leaf.. so when I went with 4 it was literally perfect. Alot of measuring tho. I really think the 8.25 being just a little more narrow helped a bunch.

So you're running a 14x7 Deep dish Crager with 4'' back space?

Am I wrong or are these smaller in diameter than stock? I always though ~26" diameter was stock.

Yeah probably, I've always like low profile tires. I had a set of 235 70 s and it was honestly more of a chore to try and fit it up the wheel well. After I went with the 410s. I just said screw it. And went 50s. 3400 at 60. Lol

lol, I have 245 60 14's on 14x7 slots with 3.5 backspace on the rear and "one expert" poo-poo it. "Recommended size rims for that tire blah blah blah".

Isn't anything wrong with a Post car! a more ridged body for sure!
