I prefer to go to the source...

Not sure where your list is coming from.
The part numbers in the 65 parts book are 25## ###

Your list shows some 65 cores as having a 2898 ###

68 parts book

Looks like same "standard" radiator for 273, 318 or 340

2989028 (standard) or 2949068 (high altitude or air-conditioning)

What's the number? I can't read it even if I enlarge it. The only radiator with a 027 is for a 273.
I’m not trying to be a wise guy Mike but I could read it not blown up 2898027 is most likely a 273 was wondering if the way the book shows it that it could be a 340

Dbk chk numbers and Google. 68 had a 340 manual specific rad. 69 340 was same rad auto vs std.
Remember casting #'s vs part #'s could be different.

With radiators the part number on the radiator is the number in the book.
The 027 is also the number that is on the broadcast sheet.
There is either a typo or omission in the 68 parts book.
Googling the number says it is 273 but nothing that I call official.
Glen-Ray Radiators might be able to clarifying the application for this radiator.

2898026 is the correct one for a 340 manual trans, 027 is for a 273 auto but will work. the best one is 032 for a 340 manual with AC, but 026, 027, 030, 031, and 032 will bolt in and work...

I always recore any 22" radiator using a 3 row core. Never a cooling problem.
The A/C radiators ARE 3-core. I had Glen-Ray restore a couple of them and they have the correct cores with 1/2" tubes, the regular ones use 3/8" tubes...
