GTX is asking about the static compression ratio:

The Static Compression RATIO is defined as the Volume of the Combustion Chamber when the piston is at the very bottom of it's travel (called "bottom dead center" or BDC) DIVIDED BY the Volume of the Combustion Chamber when the piston is at the very top of it's travel (called "top dead center" or TDC).
 
thanks for the explination i'll need to find that out the engine i'm rebuilding is .030 over and the builder said i need new pistons10.5 to 1 is what i was told most are if this info helps thanks bob
 
I HAVE A USED SET OF L2316F .030 TRW'S THAT ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THIS IS A REPLACEMENT PISTON FOR 1968 THRU 1971 340'S. FLAT TOP WITH TWO VALVE RELIEFS. this is a 10.5 comp replacement. $100.00 + FRT. CALL 918-224-4987 OR EMAIL [email protected]

I have several sets of NEW 340 pistons. I have one complete set (8) of TRW L2316F Powerforged Flattop, 2 Valve Relief 10:1 pistons. These are NEW with pins and locks. I also have 2 1/2 Sets of NEW TRW L2322F Domed Top 13:1 Pistons .030 Over. I have a set of slightly used (7 Passes) Ross .030 Flat top Race Pistons on Eagle "H" Beam Rods. Below is a list of the prices I'm asking for these pistons. All of these prices are for the pistons only and don't include shipping or handling.

L2316F .030-2 Valve Relief Flat Top (8) with pins and locks: $375.00 US

L2322F .030- Domed 13:1 - (8) with pins and locks: $450.00 US

Eagle Rods/Ross Pistons .030 (8) : $775.00 US
