[FOR SALE] 68-9 Hurst console 4-spd shifter

I have a 68-9 console 4 speed shifter for sale. The shifter mechanism was just rebuilt. The handle is in good condition with normal wear like most the boot covers a majority of it and the ball threads are good.

Looks like "B" Body, The angle of the upper shaft (Hurst area) is not correct

Well, considering the OP didn't state body style...Yes, it is a B-body.

Take a look at this thread, looks like there could be 2 slightly different console shifters for A bodies.

No..HURST was very specific in the design of there shifter. The angle of the handle etc. The only variation I have seen is the way the HURST was stamped (some block lettering some plain) I have had a few of these and sold a few as well, B body and A body and there is a difference and quite noticable. although it will fit you knuckles will hit the dash..lol
Oh and it should be mentioned that these were installed and removed using a feeler gauge method. Later HURST converted to a bolt through style as the feeler gauge ones tended to come off in your hand durring hard shifts! Many guys converted them to a bolt through later on.

If you look at my pictures you can see that I converted this to a bolt-on. The original method used a rubber bushing with a thin steel piece between the rubber and handle. The handle snapped in and a feeler gauge was required to release the detent.
