This is the same argument as a rebodied car.Salvage vs clear title.If you know it the price is definately less if not you could pay more-true?
I don't think rebodied cars and the use of reproduction parts are the same argument.
And sure, to me I prefer originality over reproduction. As one who has collected, stripped, and carted hard to find parts across the country, sure I like to think in my mind that the value of these parts is increasing due to their rarity. On the other hand, the ability to purchase decent quarters, correctly stamped pans, unobtanium trim and soft parts is fine by me. I'd rather have a new door weatherstrip than pay through the nose for a hard sun-baked piece of rubber. Or try to find NOS brake rotors for my K-H setups. Hell, I'm happy that companies like Passon can supply me with new gears and synchros for my 4-spd. So sure, it hurts when they repro the little pot metal 69 Cuda hood scoops that I searched years for, but whatever.
