68 barracuda restore or hot-rod?????

If it was a highly optioned, mucho sought after performance package car,I'd say yeah, restore it original, but look at the money you would have into the concourse crap.

Yeah, It's a 4 speed, but you can, like someone else said, pack all the original 4 speed stuff away.
Then you can build it how you want without getting too radical and could go back to original if you wanted to some day, but if it were my car, I would do some performance mods, mini tub, crazy paint, the works.

I agree with everyone here...do what you want, because you like it and because its a hobby for you..if your trying to make money, then do it all original, but again, i dont really know who desires an all original 68 cuda 318 4 speed (not me anyways)..i say tub the hell out of it, or stick some fat tires under there (like your original pic) as you can never go wrong with the drag race/ pro street look...and build up that 318 to be different (engine masters did a wicked build with a 318- not too much power but enough to have fun and be streetable) or go the engine route you already planned...building a 727 to handle street driving with fun isnt hard, but man if i was you id keep that 4 speed...4 speeds are so cool and when people find out the car is a 4 speed, it somewhat attracts them...do the viper red paint and white interior too, thats cool and give er a nice scoop as well...good luck man and post some pics of the progress you get on er

Hot Rod it. If I had enough talent and money I would do it to mine. I go nuts over the pro street look. Original is neat but expensive to maintain, IMO.

It is up to you. If it were mine, I would keep it as close to original as possible so it could be restored in the future if you change your mind.
