The 2nd owner of my 68 for some reason swapped the taillights and trunk trim with a 69. I replaced the taillights back to 68. The trunk trim is a bit harder to find. Is it one piece or more? I saw what appeared to be upper and lower pieces of trim advertised but was not sure if this id how it should be. I know there are adhesives to go in between for match the color, but wanted to be certain how this works.

thank you

Not quite sure what the question is but yes there are two pieces on the 68. They are the same or very close(someone can verify)) I think I have two lowers on mine. Should be body colour between the two. There is special mounting clips required, you should be able to Google those. Hope this helps.

2 pieces and very had to find....upper is different thank lower and it's almost impossible to tell them apart unless you know the difference. Not sure if this is reproduced or not.

yes 68 has upper and lower trims. Hole pattern in lids for the trims are different for all 3 models.

Should be two pieces-upper and lower they are not the same. You will also need the clips for both and the bolt holes are not the same 68-69.

Thanks everyone, this is exactly what I needed to know. Time to start searching

There is a upper and a lower panel with the center painter the factory color.i dont think the panels are reproduced yet but the clips are through year one.

I have the trim and clips and I have seen Laysons trim and clips also.(aftermarket)

Finding nice used of the lower of the pair may be the holy grail of trim on the 68s. I have a couple but nothing that is an easiIy restorable part.
They are very thin anodized aluminum and unfortunately are easily damaged. Same as the grill surrounds. Not to hard finding them in a crushed condition as they are hollow.
