68 Dart GT Belt trim question

Hello All,
Was the belt line trim (front to back) a satin finish or was it a polished when new ?

I was looking at my 68 GT convertible today and it is more polished than satin as it has stainless and chromed pot metal pieces attached to it.

Its so hard to tell if they were polished or satin from the factory.
Before I go and start wet sanding and polishing I thought I'd ask.
There are so few GT's in my area to see. I know the grill and trunk panel are satin. Guess I will keep checking pics on line.
