My Dart's rear is sagging somewhat after 45+ years and I am needing to tighten it up. I did the same thing to my Scamp with an 8 3/4. The dart is a 7 1/4 but I will be building a GTS tribute.
Question is this: Did 68 GTS have 6 leaf springs stock and are these being reproduced? I got my last set (5 leaf) through Springs n Things in PA and was very happy.
Also, are 7 1/4 shock plates and U bolts same size as 8 3/4, as I would like to rebuild suspension now but won't have 8 3/4. Just want to put it all on car with 7 1/4 and then swap out rear later using same suspension.
Are these springs out there and is this rebuild possible at this time with my current rear?
