Pulling steering wheel and switch. Figured I would replace it while I'm there. Found many on web search, anyone have a recommendation on a vendor or brand?
Thanks,
Jim H

My recommendation.

If it works properly, clean off the old grease, re-lubricate it with new lithium grease and keep it.

Very few out there as good as the original.

Wish I could help, but I'm out of '64-up switches with no ETA. I have a couple of '62-'63 switches left (same switch, just different style of terminal on the ends of the wires).

Would the 62-3 be able to have end terminals swapped to the 64 up? "Seems" easy enough?

I replaced the one in my 68 with one from Summit Racing.. OER brand I believe? It was about 70 bucks and it came with the new plug so ya don’t have to reuse the original one.

And how much use have you had? All aftermarket t/s switches are notorious for failing after limited use. Other than the ones Slantsixdan has/had.

I don’t daily drive it.. it’s the same brand classic industries offers but summit was way quicker on the transit times.. can’t say I’ve had the car long enough to know what its longevity will be. It did fix my lack of brake light on one side.

I have the same one in my Duster and Barracuda. I'm not sure if I installed the lever wrong or what but the lever in both cars has a ton of play in it. Up and down as well as back and forth. Is yours the same way?

mine has a little play.. I need to take it apart again to bend the arm out some. When I swapped from the factory wheel to the Grant “Tuff” wheel, it’s super close to the edge of the wheel rim since that wheel is much flatter than the original
