68 GTS PS Gear Assembly leak

So I replaced the old hard leading return hose on my PS and now the gear assembly is leaking where the steering wheel is connected to the shaft. I don't have time to remove and rebuild right now. I know there is a stop leak product out there what is the downside of using this product? Will it harm the internals if I use it for a short time?

Try some of the Lucas Steering Fix product. I have used it many times on customers cars with small leaks or noise.

Got it in so now waiting to see if it fixes it or if the leak is too serious. Thanks.
