68 Hemi Dart......

I agree 100%, Done and done, twenty minutes after I got it home. Set of K & N's in place and red line Dodge SS caps in place.

"You need to get rid of those fire starter air cleaner though...
And cop car caps."
Sounds like a good start.
Where in Alberta do you live?
And where did you buy the car?

I live in Central Alberta. Car came from Gorrie, Ont. Took almost 4 weeks to get here..........

It's about 40 below right now...... actually all I've done is driven it onto the trailer from the car carrier to bring it home, and off once I got home...... about 200 feet so far. I can tell you the shifter sucks. I see a Cheetah coming soon. I am looking forward to Spring though. I'm pretty sure it'll be interesting, with about 700 (dyno) HP and a set of 14" BFG's on the back end...........I'll drive it as is and see what it does, then make some adjustments from there.

Agree w/ this , if the foam is still in there, u better ditch it. Mine started coming apart after A YR OR SO, GOT IN EVERYTHING.

I agree about those foam filters. They should be illegal to sell. At any rate, they were changed out and thrown in the garbage, for a set of K& N's before the engine cooled down after I brought it home.

I see it is mounted with elephant ears, is the alternator brackets stock or relocated? Could you put a pic up of pass side ear? Looking for ideas fer mine...

Here's a couple, never mind the tips, the pics were real small. But I changed those too. I' not sure what the alternator brackets are supposed to look like, but they look stock to me.

no pics, but I put my one wire alternator under the pass side of the motor plate, about where the stock fuel pump would be, turned out very well.
Did you need different brackets to mount it?

Looks like a nice Hemi Dart to start with....I bet your gears are turning WFO with what you want to do to it.

Yes, a piece of angle alum., about 1/4" thick, made for a frame bracket and to look "racy", to tie one end of the adjustment rod to. It bolts thru the frame on the inside, w/ frame crush sleeves in side the frame. A small a (exact length, took 3 tries) alum strap type brace to steady the alternator off the water pump, to keep it aligned perfectly, and not vibrate. A double heim joint adjuster rod. The hardest part was locating the exact position for the main alt. bolt to go thru the motor plate to the 3/8" head hole, Will require exact spacers in between. This might sound a little complicated, but I`ts not ! If I remember right, been a while since I made the set up, and haven`t had to mess w/ it since. I run a belt driven fan, w/ a 28x19 crossflow radiator, the belt lines up w/ my standard steel pulleys. I did have to make a pacer for the bottom pulley so it would line
up , the water pump sets out a 1/4' because of the motr plate.---- Really isn`t that complicated ! Altho I dig making stuff instead of buying it !----Could send phone pics , I guess if u want them.-----Bob
