I can agree with what the hood does. Years ago I was at Englishtown and a big wind took my hood and blew it through the pits. Hit another car before it dropped to the ground. All 4 corners were trashed and it didn't do any favors to the car it hit either. I would do a hinged hood if in any way possible if I did one again.
I built this hood back in 1988. Its a steel hood and its been so long I cant remember where the fiberglass scoop came from. I riveted it on and glassed it in. Never have had a crack. The only issue I warn about is location, location, location. I didn't have the motor in and the scoop is to far forward for hemi, six pack style air cleaner. This is a street car. Just listen to the guys here and buy the best scoop you can afford.
