Has anyone ever measured the overall distance in-between the INNER fender wells on the REAR of an A-body mopar?
In other words, the overall measurement that would include the width of the rear end and both wheels/tires...plus room to clear the inner fender tub?

(I'm assuming, but may be wrong, that this inner width should be the same on all A-bodies duster/dart/valiant from '67 to '72?)

My reason for asking: I'm trying to calculate the ballpark width of the rear end I need, in order to fit the wheels and tires I already have for the car.
I would just remove my wheels and take this measurement myself, but my Valiant is currently in another state.

Thanks in advance!

They're all different. A dart needs to be narrowest
I'm just looking for the total distance from rear inner fender lip to inner fender lip on a '68 Valiant.
I think if a person just removed the rear wheels, plumbed down from the inside of each inner top fender lip, and then measured in-between those vertical plumbs....that would be the overall measurement needed.

There are several different 1/4 panel design on
this generation of A bodies.

On our 68 and 69 Valiants with stock width A body
8 3/4 we run a 15/10 with 5 inch Back Spacing or
15/8 with 4 Back Spacing. We run 9.0 x 30 slicks
or 10.0 x 28.5. slicks.
