i have a 69 340 that i took to the machine shop to have checked over. it needs nothing but to be put back together. the crank is never been cut. it has mp 12.5 to1 pistons milled down to 10to 1, to run pump gas. it has a huge duration cam, but unsure of specs.. the bores are in perfect condition, and are .030 over. also has dual roller timing chain, deep sump oilpan and pickup. i took the engine apart due to it sitting for 7 years. everything is still like new. the machine shop said that none of the bearings need to be replaced, but i would since it is apart.
also have the set of 205-160 j-heads that were on it. they too are in running condition, but i would put new valve seals in them.
engine comes with a new set of plane gane valve covers, damper,water pump,timeing cover, and either a holley strip dominator intake, or a edelbrock performer(i have not chose what one i am using on my 340 scamp)
also i have the 727 trans that came out of the car, with a 3500 stall converter. the terans just came back from trans shop a couple of weeks ago, and it is completelty rebuilt, with a shift kit.
if this engine does not go in the next ten days, i am going to order a new gasket kit, and bearings, put it together, and relist it for more money.
will sell the the engine and trans for 1,100.00
or will take 900.00 for the engine, and 500.00 for the trans and converter. would like to sell as a package
