69 408 valiant ute

this is my 1969 valiant wayfayer ute, was a slant 6 3 speed now a hemi 6 4 speed, converting it to a 408 auto, pete

How did the slant work with the power brake booster in the way? Or did you add that after the engine swap?

It's not a problem with 6s if you go the V8 route then you need to change to the offset booster setup (same as on my Wagon) or a remote booster

I know I am going to feel stupid, but are those Cuda taillights?

Would've felt lamer if I had asked if you have to reverse the rotation on the distributor to get it to run correctly down under.....

Anyway you look at it, that is one awesome machine.

no standard tail lights for ute, from 68 ve to 71 vg, got the tubs cut out today to get 12.50 m/ts under, heres some more pics, pete

my brouther came around this morning and put the hand brake cables in, made a brake line up, adjusted the back brakes and bleed them front and back, measured the tail shaft up, 1200 long, measured the tubs up for his son to make, crank is in getting balanced so 2 weeks till the motor will be in, pete
