What I saw is they only mentioned the 340 and 383 in the Formula S. No mention of a 440.

That’s an early release dealer film strip. Note the recall aluminum slot wheels. Even the dealer books don’t show the 440 option.
The 440 option was a late model year limited production release often called the 1969-1/2 King Fish.
