69 Barracuda Restoration.

Nice work! As others have already said, you dove in and grabbed a fistfull of whoop-azz. I would have never guessed that the Duster sub frame would have swapped over. Love the 67-69 fastbacks, I'll be watching this one. :read2: L8r

Jim
A bodys share the same subframe, 67-69 Barracuda's also share the same rear wheel housings as a Duster.

Wow that is some seriously outstanding work there!! That is going to be a killer car once done. Not many of those 4 speed cars survived and the production numbers on '69 340 Formula S fastbacks was pretty low so that is a rare car.

The '73 Dart hood's outter skin is the same but the under hood bracing is different then an original '69 Barracuda hood. Still fits just fine but the two hoods are different underhood bracing wise. Very few people know that and it really doesn't matter but I thought it is an interesting fact.

This weekends progress.

Nice looking work. Should be a sweet looking ride when done. I did my 67 cuda a couple of years ago and a 76 dart lite for my brother. Thought I was done with the whole body work thing but now I'm doing a 70 duster for my yougest brother. Keep the pics coming.

I found a picture of the Barracuda from when I brought it home.

I didnt section it, I replaced it all they way to the torsion bar mounts. All the original spot welds matched up with the ones from the new front clip.

although later abody inner fenders will do the job. they do have their physical differences if your looking for period correct.

Oh man that's a lot of work there...very nice..!!

some differences on the passenger side, an area recessed for alternator clearance and ac drier iirc.. Driver's side not as much.

Thats a long story, Its coming home from the machine shop tomorrow because the guy dont know **** about Mopars....Im looking again.

The reason I asked, LOL, not too many familiar... Harry's in Sayre did some work on my father in law's 440, however, and it still runs...

I didn't notice till he brought it up. Body work looks great none the less. I would not worry about it.

Ok, I have my complete brake system now, Engine bay is almost ready for paint. I have my front suspension all blasted and in epoxy primer (some parts arnt in the picture). And my dash board and attaching parts painted. The dash pad is in the cellar ready to be put on. Im going to order my front suspension kit and my dash bezel this week. Oh and i got my moser axles and bearings this week.
