Hi All, new to the forum and hoping I can get some help on this one! I've searched the internet high and low for this but its a pretty rare occurrence and i can't find a definitive answer.

I have one of the RHD Barracudas that were built in Detroit and then exported to the UK in RHD. These weren't designed to be RHD and as such the engine is already to the right side of the bay (to make room for a LHD steering column etc). Once you cram the RHD steering column in there isn't much space for headers!

Iv'e been pointed in the direction of Aussie Pacemaker headers but still not sure if these will fit?!

Has anyone else been here and figured it out?

Thanks!

As far as rhd headers, you got me.

I was always told the engine offset was due to the pinion offset in the rear end.

Do you have pics of the steering setup? I didn't think the rhd mopar used a mopar steering box?

Actually....as far as I know the engine placement (L to R) doesn't really make a difference when it comes to the u-joints. As long as the eng/trans center line is parallel to the pinion shaft. The eng./trans can be off set to either side as long as the eng/trans center line remains parallel to the pinion shaft (perpendicular to the rear axle), same thing goes for the "up and down" orientation. If you keep the eng/trans center line parallel to the pinion shaft you won't have any vibrations. So you could conceivably move the engine to the left to make room, but you would have to take care that drive shaft doesn't rub against anything. Transmission linkage would also have to be considered and of course fan should clearance or anything else that associated with the engine moving left to right. The rear of transmission would have to move to the left the same amount as the front of the engine to keep the eng/trans center line parallel to the pinion shaft.

I wish we could help you, but most or all of the ones that we have in the US are LHD....

I've never seen a RHD one in person....

There's also multi-piece tri-y from a different manufacturer. Search for Valiant "Extractors" rather than "headers". Unfortunately I can't tell you how different the Aussie Valiants are from the RH drive export models.
