Its a single stage Dupont Chromapremier (Bahama Yellow/Butterscotch) paint, the car is very clean and very original. I'm not a big fan of modifying cars that are well kept and in mostly original condition so, its going to stay that way. Car came with lots of documentation and photos showing its condition through the years. I would like to find out how many were built with this paint code. If anyone has any suggestions of where to gather this information please feel free to help.
 
How about throwing up some pictures of this cool color car????? I've never seen a Swinger this color!!!!!

I almost bought the 71 Butterscotch Dart that was for sale here a month of so ago, just for the color. I wound up in another direction, but god I love that color.
 
Never was a big fan of yellow, but this car pulls it off just fine. Kind of reminds me of the cabs back in NYC.

Of course, I'm partial to '69 Darts as I had a '69 340 Swinger years ago that I wish I still had. Also currently in "build mode" of my 'new' '69 Dart.
I share your philosophy of not modifying something that's almost complete and original. However, my current '69 Dart was a 270 getting modified by the previous owner when I bought it, so game on!

More pics (where can I see your pics)/ I have family coming down for the Holidays and plan to take my nieces for a ride so perfect opportunity for some nice photos. Game on/ dont get me wrong I think modifying is lots of fun, when you have a car that needs nothing all you can do is drive it, could get boring!:toothy7: nahhh

Very interesting...Nice car! I have to say that I haven't seen another '69 A body in Butterscotch. All the ones I've seen were B bodies.

I only have the breakdown for 1970-73 on the High Impact colors.

Your paint code on tag and build sheet listed as "999"?
 
Its listed as roof 99 and body 99 color codes, your duster looks like the same color? The paper work I have shows the car was a 30k mile original condition car with a repaint and some interior pieces like rug headliner, dash pad. Had the car on a lift and its very clean for a car that had no under body work done.

Yes, my Duster is an original Butterscotch car also.
Do you have any more pics? It looks great, the link to the B-J auction is not working, and I'd love to see more.
 
Here's a link to another post with photos on the first page, its clean and drives straight. The driving experience is beyond what I expected, only mechanical issue; wont down shift when I punch it, and the secondaries open late :)... will be fixed shortly.

Hey Dave the black Alfa Romeo in the photo runs great but, needs motor mounts. Sweet little car thats great on gas, bought it for running errands and hitting the beach.
 
I love EL5 Bahama Yellow / Butterscotch ! There was a '71 383 Road Runner at Spring Fling ( original , coded colour ) .

Not quite sure what you are trying to say here...but code "999" means special order paint color, it could basically be any color the buyer wanted it to be, it was extra cost. Further more, in the chip color charts Dodge and Plymouth offered three colors as "special order" which were Orange, Rallye Green and Bahama Yellow (Butterscotch), that's right, even Dodge called it "Bahama Yellow" in '69.
In 1970, Dodge offered the color and Plymouth didn't on the paint chart. Not to say you could not get it.

In '71 they both offered the color as "L5" color code. Bahama Yellow for Plymouth cars and Butterscotch for Dodge.

Sorry if it sounds like a rant, but "My Mopar" has a history of not quite right references.
