69 dart bench seat hinge cover interference?

69 dart custom 2 door. Bench front seat - seat backs split 50/50 and pivot forward for rear access. Bought two hinge covers from Mancini, but per pics below they interfere with the pin on the seat back that catches/releases for pivoting forward and snapping back in place. Any thoughts? Wrong part? Bad parts? cut out the interfering portion of plastic? Sleep on it cuz I’m a moron and installed them wrong?

I don't have a '69 bench to compare it to, but did you try switching sides? Looks to me like the narrower part should point "up".

I had this issue with buck ones. I had to do a minor clearance on one them but that looks excessive. Is there a spacer to pull them away?

Do you have an original to compare it too?

Yes - holes don’t line up the other way.

Unfortunately no. It’s notched out for the release lever, but still tons of interference and no notch with that bottom pin. If there were bench seats with seat backs that didn’t release forward id think maybe that’s the cover I bought.

Thank You! I just bought the ones from ebay in the link you sent. What's funny is so many different places sell the wrong style and list them as fitting this application. Even the seller on Ebay with the correct ones also sells the "wrong" ones and it lists 69 A body bench seats as a correct application. Likely too late to return the new ones as they got banged up trying to figure this all out.
