'69 Dart - Came w/ two keys

Dart came with two keys. The left one works for the ignition and that's it, and the other (with rounded top) doesn't seem to fit into anything.
Any ideas what it's for?

The left one should work both the ignition and the doors. Probably the ignition switch has been replaced and the original ignition/door key got lost.

Do you have a glovebox with a lock? They are also round. Yes, sounds like the ignition switch got changed out. You can get all of that for one key.

Lol oops, I had tried both on the trunk. Ignition key fit it but didn't turn and the round one didn't even go in all the way.
Ended up breaking open the trunk a bit ago with a flathead

Yeah, and fuel cover as well. Didn't work for any of the above. Will have to try again for the glovebox later since it's the only lock still intact lol.

As you discovered, after 50+ years the keyways get warn.

There are several keyways available over the years.

Also all the keys go in cut side up.

Some times you can get the key to go in cut side down, but it won't turn.

I hope you did not spin the trunk lock in the trunk. In the long run it's always cheaper to have a lock smith open it.

Round works trunk and glove box
Diamond works the doors and ignition
