Bought this dart for 12k. Runs great, has a built Summit 360, 727 trans, posi rear with 3:90 ish gears if I calculated it right, and a clean shockingly good interior. It looked great from a distance, but had a couple rust issues..lower qtrs, top of trunk, and cracked vinyl top. So the plan was a quick rust repair, paint and new vinyl. But then as I get going, if Im going to this, I might as well do that. And if I'm going that, well then I'm darn sure going to do this. That is how the first picture has turned into the later.
My list of add ons will include, new front end, restored chrome, 4 wheel disc, 17" wheels and tires, new gauges/bezel, overdrive added to name a few. I appreciate the help from many on this forum and u don't even know you helped me along the way.

Look forward to the build process. What rims you think your going to choose?
17" 5 spoke of some kind, still deciding. 225 in the front, I think I can get 245 in the rear. I'd love to drop some big meats in the rear, but limited unless I start cutting and go down another rabbit hole.....which I am currently hesitant to do. I think I've seen enough rabbit holes for this project. I'll post as I go.

I’m gonna go with 17s also at some point. I have 15s on my Dart now, was also going to go with a 245 on rear as seems to be good size for room I wheel well.

I had to move up from 14's to do the disc conversion. 15's minimum, but like the look of 17's

You should be able to get 255's in there easy, and with an offset spring location kit, likely a 275. I'm running a 245/60/15 in my 66 Valiant that fits easy, and I have less rear clearance than you do.

Thanks..I'll keep the spring kit idea in mind

Interior is about done. Pretty much all new cept I'll likely paint the rear arm rests since new red ones are hard to find. Wiring, dash, tunes, headliner, doors re bushed and hung, jambs painted and my favorite...all working gauges. Might just get this done before summers done.

Well...here it is. A couple plus years, approx $25K in interior, electrical, vinyl, and paint. 584 ish of my own hours, welding, body, blocking, brakes, front end rebuild,

This was not a frame off resto. Most was done in my garage. Much info and ideas were learned right here on the forum. What a great resource. There are a few nuggets left to do, wiper switch and lots of detailing. But it's close enough to show. Took it on a test drive today and was happy with all performance pieces. Everything works. Yeah!
Thanks to all that have helped along the way.
