Lookin great Martin... hopin its ready for Garlits! Talk soon...
We're giving it our best shot. I am in need of something though. Do you by chance know where I could get a new or used passenger side (I'll take a full set if need be) trim stick for stapling the top down. It bolts in and all I the new stuff I have found is too small and want work. The interior guy has pulled and stapled so many times a piece of the soft strip that the staple goes in broke off. I'm loosing my mind here....Lookin great Martin... hopin its ready for Garlits! Talk soon...
X2 i have a Fury convertible and all my original screws are stripped.I want to ask you question, the screws that hold the snaps and molding are you using old ones or new? If you are using new, where did you buy them?
Jim
Thanks Alwhew! that is some Dart!
Sorry it took so long to reply. Been out of town. The screws I used came with the top boot. They are aprox 3/16" too long, so I had to cut and reshape the ends just a little. They work fine though. You should be able to pick those up at any upholstery shop or online or at Legendary etc... Hope this helps.X2 i have a Fury convertible and all my original screws are stripped.

I had several extra guages laying around so I sent the cluster and extra guages to A1 in Virginia and together we worked out a way to use the factory wiring harness to work with a gauge. Here is a pic of what the back of the cluster looks like...

Hey TIAGreetings, I am interested in redoing my gauge cluster like you did. I googled but couldnt find A1 in Virginia. Could you give me more info on them? Also how did you get that blank faceplate for the oil and what gauges did you have to give them to allow these conversions?
TIA

hooo wee that's pretty!WEEEE!!! The New Top is on and I am finally HAPPY! I had to turn loose my interior guy and search for a new one. I finally found one in the Raleigh area of NC. So off to the races, i went to look at their work and it was better than any I had seen in this area. All specialty cars in there shop. 55 Chevy, 64 Chevy 2 Wagon, Studebaker Avanti, 68 Sport Fury Convertible etc.. We had a long talk and after he took me on a tour of the shop, we struck a deal and I took the Dart to him. JB's Auto Upholstery. They put the new top on and put new carpet and insulation in. I am very satisfied after the year long fiasco that I have been through with the other installer. Top is tight, no wrinkles. Carpet fits up on the toe board/Firewall as it should. Console carpet is complete. I'm a happy man.... Now on to adjusting the glass and installing the interior...
