..who have done this ?
been reading my shop manual and it isn't quite clear to me...any tips?

]Can you be more specific regarding the outcome you are trying to accomplish?

The vent window frame has 3 specific adjustment points:

1. At the front (top) of the door there is a bolt that mounts through a slot in the door that allows for a little up and down movement.

2. About 6 inches below that bolt on the front of the door there is an adjustment bolt that allows you to tip the frame front to back.

3. At the base of the door accessible from underneath there is another adjustment bolt that allows you to move the foot of the frame slightly in out and back and forth.

4. there is a pinch block located just under the vent window accessible from a little plug located about 2 inches from the top of the door to the right of the side glass channel. this needs to be loosened to make adjustments.

I found it easiest to remove the door card to access the inside of the door.

A. roll the window up to it's stop.
B. loosen the pinch block

now start working the adjustment points referenced earlier.

One lass thing to keep in mind is that what ever you do to the vent frame is going to impact the side glass so you'll need to be ready to tweak the adjustments for the side glass guide located at the back of the door by the latch.

I hope this helps.

sorry....should have been more specific.
It is not tight to the front weather stripping and i suspect raising it slightly should take up this clearance and remove a wind whistle.
Thanks...getting the bugs out of a fresh build.

ahh that makes sense...
I would suggest loosening the pinch block to allow the vent window to pivot.

Next loosen the bolt at the top of the front of the door, Followed by the adjusting nut at the base of the door.

With that done you may get enough slack to rotate the vent frame towards the front.
Once in position cinch the pinch bolt and the top bolt on the front of the door and the one at the foot.

You may need an extra set of hands to hold the frame in position while you lock it in.

If you find that you're not getting the position you want you may need adjust the lower nut on the front of the door.

Excellent pic!
...just did a little investigating and everything looks correct but appears i need to move everything forward about 1/16th as a unit.

thx. I made it when I took my door apart so I could put it back together. lol

Oh should be able to make up the 16th. Same process as described and you will definitely need to dial in the adjuster nut on the front of the door.
Btw the pinch block is an Allen key. Some thing Between an 1/8 and 1/4 inch If I remember
Good luck
