Does anyone have a drawing of the 69 door lock mechanism. I am looking at them and have no idea as to how they go.

The threaded part line up with the hole for the door lock, but the bell crank and attached rod looks like to goes to the door handle, not the door latch.

Steve,

the short rod goes to the lock plunger on the top of the door. the long part goes to the door latch mech. the rectanglar piece is secured to the door by the rusty brown bolt in the attached picture. if you need more pictures let me know I have the door panel off on the cuda.

Where does the long rod attach to? I see what is wrong now, I have an repo that must be for a 68. there is no attachment point for the lock mechanism for the 69.

That was what was confusing. I will have to do something else.

Thanks

The long rod is not the cloth covered rod. I would roll the window up but I haven't found the cranks yet. I am still unpacking the cuda from being stored for 13 years.

Steve, I found the crank and got you some better pictures. These should help you out a lot better.

Great thanks

I got to the bottom of the mystery. The body shop got the door latches so they could align the doors. They thought that they got a door latch for a 68 and up. As we know now is that the 69 is different. I will have to find and clean up the original latches. Hope that they are not too worn out.

Sorry to have bother all and thanks again for the pictures
