We’ve owned this car for nearly 6 years (time flies). It’s my wife’s car and she says it’s time to sell.

Located in Vista CA, near San Diego.

Asking $35K OBO

I’ve owned 9 A body Barracudas over the past 40 years, though with an admitted 30+ year gap, so we had a clear vision regarding what we wanted this car to be. We wanted a car that looked like one you would see on the street circa 1974. Lightly modified, but very close to as it was when it came from Mother MOPAR.

For Sale: 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Fastback - 383 Super Commando / TorqueFlite. True BH29H car. "Sympathetic Restoration" with an actual 32,*** miles.

Drivetrain:

Original un-opened engine, including the original carb (includes tag and was cosmetically restored and rebuilt by Scott Smith), original intake manifold, original exhaust manifolds (try finding these somewhere $$$), original radiator, original air cleaner assembly.

Rebuilt TorqueFlite and remanufactured torque converter

8 ¾ rear end with 3:23 gears in a 741 case. Open differential.

Oil and transmission pans re-sealed to stop old car leaks.

Fresh engine oil and transmission fluid with new filters for both.

New rumbly exhaust from Lyons Muffler in San Marcos.

Converted to MOPAR orange box electronic ignition sometime in the 70s.

New spark plugs and “spark plug” wires.

New proper appearance, yellow cap, AGM battery, not a cheesy interstate or other off – brand wrong battery (my pet peeve).

Original chrome valve covers.

Body:

Original sheetmetal. No rust ever = no bondo / patch panels.

New two stage paint (basecoat / clearcoat) in original F3 color code.

Re-polished and re-chromed; front and rear bumpers, grille surrounds, door handles and back-up light bezels.

New stripe kit with 383 call outs.

New door and window seals.

New aftermarket windshield, original will be included. All glass in very good condition, no cracks.

Interior:

Bucket front seats with headrests / Console shift / Seat and Shoulder belts / Fold down rear seat.

New black seat covers front and rear.

New carpet kit including cargo area.

New black door card covers.

New door pulls and door pull bezels.

Rallye dash including 150 MPH speedometer and factory tachometer.

The interior fastback sail panels are complete / uncut for speakers.

Original headliner.

Re-manufactured top dash pad.

Chassis:

Power front disc / drum rear brakes. New pads front and rear.

New brake master cylinder.

Rebuilt Power steering box to fix leaky seals.

All front suspension components; were nut & bolted, had new cotter pins installed and are freshly lubricated.

Factory front anti roll bar

Other:

Still has most original hardware / fasteners / linkages. NOT over-restored with suspect aftermarket components.

Includes original factory build sheet.

Use as a daily driver / car show jewel, or a basis for an easy concours restoration.

Please reach out with any questions.

Thanks for looking.
