69 r4 dart resto

Wow! You are going all out. It's going to be a great car.
My cousin is Deputy Mayor of Gravenhurst. (I love your golf course "Muskoka Bays", amazing course, but some deadly bounces off the rocks)

Reminds me of My car for some reason?

Wow! nice work Dave, your skills have always amazed me, wish I would have had all that sheet metal available when I did my first dart, she will be a beauty when you are done with it .I'll be up soon for a visit to check it out and maybe we will have a cocktail or two.

Cheers

Just a quick update on the progress so far.
Left side cleaned up & epoxy primed.
Right side same as the other side so it will get the same treatment.
Things go slow here in the north!

Do you have any owner history on this car, Muskoka? My Dad had one like it back in the day, but sold it in 71 when he got married. I can't remember if his had the vinyl top or not at the moment. I wish I had a VIN # for it. It'd be a small world if yours happened to be his old one.

Just opened up the package with the new right side quarter.
Just about puked when i saw a six inch dent about 24" back from the door jam.
:eek:ops:Will have to make a phone call tomorrow and see about another.

I was told the car came from conneticut.
I bought the car from a guy in halton hills area

Hi,

You've bought the new body parts (as the rear fender of both sides)? Or you just made an restoration in the current parts?

Great project!

Victor

Has been a while.
So just another quick up date.
Been busy fishing, boating, biking ect.
I have the right side quarter in place now, primed & sanded.
All is looking good.
Will be moving on to cleaning up the old rust proofing now.

I have been making some progress in the last few months.
Main body shell is looking pretty good now and I have been laying some
R4 red on the inside.
Ordered new AMD fenders, new windsheild, front fender splash sheilds,
front & rear glass gaskets ect. should get that stuff in the next couple weeks.
New hood is next.
Thanks for the interest Randy & I hope all is going well with your projects.
I hope to post some pictures in the next week or two.

Dave

As this is my first resto it seems that I don't get too many nights when I
feel some sort of accomplishment, but tonight is one of those nights.
Nobody but myself has any hands on the resto.
I have been playing around with base clear paint for the first time on this
project and I wasn't to sure how that was going to work out.
Really is nice to work with and makes me want to paint the outside myself, but we'll see how that goes.

You are doing a great job with the body work. I have never seen the paint done quite that way, but I think it is great.

You are doing some very nice work . Nice car.
