69 Valiant Grille

I figured I'd start another thread for this. I need pics of how the grille mounts to the radiator support area. Here's what I have to work with. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can see your problem with that large opening which I don't have on mine. (Yours looks too nice to weld anything closed) ....Perhaps you could get a piece of metal and drill a center screw hole, then slide it in behind, over-lapping the inside outer edges as a backing plate. Use a screw and washer to secure the grill mount tight.

Just a quick suggestion..or what I would do.

I'm thinking of making a bracket that bolts under the fender mounting bolts, with a hole cut out for the hood pin. Wish I had some fabrication skills to go along with my ideas, lol. I figured the 69's didn't have the openings for the hood pins. Guess I'd better break out the cardboard and scissors.
