7 1/4, 8 1/4, & 8 3/4 How do I tell the difference

if you use the search function i know this topic has been brought up before and someone has a good picture guide to identify them. In short, the 7.25 is a 9 bolt, the 8.25 is a 10 bolt with an oval rear cover and the 8.75 is the only one to have the third member bolt up to the front of the housing (looks like a ford 9 inch)
