70 340 exhaust manifold install

We will be installing a 360 in a Duster with power steering and manual brakes. Will the engine clear the steering column with the manifolds bolted to the engine? Thanks Bob

Yes, but don't bolt in the engine until the exhaust manifolds are in place.

We found on our 71 with those manifolds, that they won't go on with the engine in place, but you have to lift it just off the mounts, install the exhaust, then drop it back down...

Maybe drop the engine in with them on (I'm gonna try that next time...)...

I have those exact manifolds on my 340 in my scamp. Clears everything fine. Like mentioned leave the engine up a hair.

I will say this, you will learn to HATE checking/changing plugs on 5/7. I don't got huge hands and I have a hell of a time getting in there. Guaranteed knuckle buster and finger burner. Only one of the many reason's I'm going full length headers.
