70 a body gas tank

have a gas tank out of calif. legal 70 duster. built in LA. are these specific to calif. built cars, or calif. legal cars. car was registered in calif. originally til 1992. tank has emission tube mounted in trunk that connects to several lines on tanks drivers side. never come across setup before as most cars i've had were midwest cars.

all 71s use the same tank. It should have 4 lines coming off the driver side that go in to the tube in the trunk.

when u say all 71's used this tank, are u referring to all 71's manufactured in LA, or all 71's period. do u know how long these type tanks were manufactured and how many years they were used.

I believe they were used for California emissions 1970 cars and all cars produced in 1971. Both my 71 Scamp and 71 Dart have that tank. 1 car is LA built and the other Canada.

I have a 70 Dart with the previously described hose hookup. I'm changing mine out to the earlier configuration, (new tank). Just too many hoses for me. Howard
